The collection is designed in coastal Australia and ethically produced in happy and safe environments for workers in Indonesia. Their factory in Indonesia is women-owned and run, and supports a community of mothers. Employees are paid above-average wages and receive benefits such as health care. No worker is required to work overtime however, they can request extra hours if they need to which are paid at double time.

Daughter's fabrics are natural or organic with the exception of swimwear, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. Garments are manufactured in small runs to avoid wastage and everything from tags to packaging is plastic-free and eco-friendly.
